A laser distance sensor is a sensor that uses a laser beam to measure distance. The robot anti-fall system needs to obtain the distance information from the ground to the bottom of the robot through sensors to ensure that the robot can avoid falling without losing control.

 In the robot anti-drop system, the working principle of the laser distance sensor is to use the reflection between the laser beam and the object to achieve distance measurement. The sensor emits a laser beam to the ground, and the laser beam is reflected and received by the sensor receiver and the corresponding distance value is calculated. Laser distance sensors are usually installed at the bottom of the robot to measure the distance from the robot to the ground in real time.

During the operation of the robot, the laser distance sensor continuously acquires distance information and compares it with a preset threshold. When the distance from the robot to the ground is less than the preset threshold, the sensor will send out an alarm to remind the robot operation control system to take corresponding safety measures, including stopping the robot or changing the robot path to avoid falling accidents.
